What Is a No-Show Costing My Store?

Four numbers you already know. One answer in dollars.

Placeholders are an example, not a benchmark.

Enter all four numbers to see the result. Rates must be between 0 and 100.

Assumes a no-show would have closed at the same rate as a customer who showed. Lower the close rate for a conservative number.

What this number means

You already paid for these customers. The lead, the BDC call, and the appointment are spent.

The only thing missing is the second attempt.

Tomorrow morning

Pull yesterday's no-shows. A manager, not the BDC, calls every one before 10 a.m. Count how many reset.

FAQ

How is the cost of a no-show calculated?
Appointments that did not show, times your close rate on shown appointments, times your average total gross per deal.
Does every no-show really cost a full deal?
No. The number is gross at stake, not gross guaranteed. Lower the close rate to see a conservative version.
What should a manager do first about no-shows?
Call yesterday's no-shows personally before 10 a.m. and track how many reset.
